Renfield Turnbull is a constable of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He was assigned to the Canadian consulate in Chicago in the fall of 1995, working under Inspector Margaret Thatcher and Constable Benton Fraser's authority.

Constable Turnbull is mostly seen working at the consulate itself, answering calls, standing guard and cleaning up the place, but he occasionally steps out onto the field when needed. He often refuses to divulge information, thinking it is classified when it is not, exasperating both his colleagues and those who communicate with him. He is very fond of curling and country music.

Renfield Turnbull was portrayed by Canadian actor Dean McDermott.
